Performance Management is the active and strategic use of performance standards, measures, progress reports and ongoing quality improvement efforts to ensure an agency achieves desired results. Performance management offers three basic phases or stages for employee development:
- coaching,
- corrective action,
- and termination.
Performance objectives:
- quality,
- speed,
- dependability,
- flexibility
- and cost.
A typical project plan consists of: A statement of work, a resource list, work breakdown structure, a project schedule and a risk plan. The scope includes the business need and business problem, the project objectives, deliverables, and key milestones. Project baselines are established in the project plan.
How to write a performance plan
- Identify performance or behavioral issues that need improvement.
- Explain the level of performance and behavior expected.
- Supply helpful suggestions for employee improvement.
- Schedule progress meetings with the employee.
- Outline consequences for not meeting standards.
